Job Description

The image processing & computer vision researcher focuses on algorithm development projects and works with team members to ensure that the projects remain on schedule. They help determine the goals, methods, and other test parameters of the projects.
Other tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct a variety of complex and independent investigations in the planning, development, and implementation of experimental procedures within the overall scope of the research project
  • Collect, analyze and report on experimental data
  • Create and maintain accurate and timely records of test results
  • Perform data analysis and find out potential problems

We will create applications such as foveated rendering and eye tracking technologies that reveal new experiences in VR.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in computer science (or similar major)
  • Proficient in C++
  • Proficient in MATLAB or Python
  • Strong academic background in mathematics (optimization/linear algebra/differential geometry)
  • Experience of development using computer vision or machine learning techniques
  • Business-level English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years professional research experience or PhD in computer science (or similar major)
  • Experience in international conference / journal publication.
  • Japanese (business level)

Position:

C++ Systems Engineer (FOVELABS) [SUPREME SOFTWARE SORCERER]

About:

This position will either be placed in Japan (Akihabara) or Australia (Brisbane). Whilst visa sponsorships is a possibility, relocation assistance is not offered.
Applicants who’ve existing work permits to work in either of the above will be considered first.
Fove is developing new products to be part of our future lineup. If you want to work where graphics, robots, streaming and VR all intersect, than this position is for you.
We don’t care how many or few years of experience you’ve got – if you write great code and have the growth mindset we value then you should apply.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience with modern C++ (C++11 and later, RAII, zero-cost abstractions)
  • Software architecture skills
  • Experience building low latency systems
  • Fluent English, ability to speak and write idiomatically

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Windows APIs, inter-process communication
  • Experience with version control (i.e GIT)
  • Experience with video encoding and streaming.
  • Experience with 3D rendering libraries (DirectX, Vulkan, etc.)
  • Contributions to open-source C++ projects.
  • Experience integrating complex systems with hardware
  • Passion for VR/AR/XR… Whatever the kids are calling it these days

Job Description

You’ll work hand in hand with our research team to develop computer vision solutions which will bring the real world into the virtual, all in real-time.

  • Assist our research leads by pursuing the latest in CV technologies – both hard and soft
  • Build experiments to test prototypes then collect, analyze and report your findings
  • Create and maintain accurate and timely records of test results
  • Iteratively work to improve all projects you touch here at FOVE

We will create applications such as foveated rendering and eye tracking technologies that reveal new experiences in VR.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Some of / Currently in a Degree in Computer Science (It’s fine if you haven’t graduated yet!)
  • Solid Python and C++ knowledge
  • An academic background in mathematics (linear algebra/differential geometry) which you can turn into production code
  • Experience developing applications using computer vision, 3D reconstructions and SLAM
  • Experience with Pytorch and TensorFlow (or similar)
  • Business-level English or Business-level Japanese (One or the other – both is a plus!)

Job Description

You’ll be working with the mad scientists who’re building the brains of FOVELABS’ robots! (So they can autonomously get our CTO coke from the refrigerator).

  • Assist our research team by being a go-to source of knowledge and expertise for all things AI
  • Build experiments to test your prototypes then collect, analyze and report your findings
  • Create and maintain accurate and timely records of test results
  • Prototype AI solutions for in-house deployment as directed

Minimum qualifications:

  • Some of / Currently in a Degree in Computer Science or related STEM field (It’s fine if you haven’t graduated yet!)
  • Solid Python and C++ knowledge
  • An academic background in mathematics (linear algebra) which you can turn into production code
  • Experience with Pytorch, Keras, TensorFlow and/or other related ML architectures
  • Business-level English or Business-level Japanese (One or the other – both is a plus!)

Preferred Qualifications:

Job Description

You’ll be working with the mad scientists who’re building the brains of FOVELABS’ robots! (So they can autonomously get our CTO coke from the refrigerator). Play with the robots, help them grow, help them learn how to do as they’re told

  • Research and develop solutions to better control robots through non-traditional paradigms
  • Work with our AI team to ensure robots can ‘intuitively’ interpret a pilot’s intention then act accordingly
  • Work with our CV team to ensure our robots’ sensors are accurately relaying information to their pilots

Minimum qualifications:

  • Some of / Currently in a Degree in Computer Science or related STEM field (It’s fine if you haven’t graduated yet!)
  • Experience with framework
  • Hands on experience with software development and testing on robots
  • Experience debugging physical hardware (Actuators, cameras, sensors, IMUs etc)

Preferred Qualifications:
